The ASEAN Scholarships aim to provide opportunities to the young people of ASEAN to develop their potential and equip them with skills that will enable them to confidently step into the new millennium.

An education obtained from Singapore will undoubtedly put one to a promising start on his/her career path. After graduation, landing a good-paying job in Singapore isn't far-fetch. The best part about this scholarship, is that there is no bond attached.

Almost all scholarships have age requirements. So, I encourage the youth(or their parents) to be interested with international scholarships and take their chance while they are still eligible.

Kwa Geok Choo passed away peacefully at home Saturday at the age of 89. She is survived by her husband, 2 sons (one of whom is the current Singapore Prime Mineser Lee Hsien Loong and a neurologist daughter. A public wake will be held at the prime minister's official residence on Oct. 4-5 and a private funeral will take place Oct. 6.

The former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew wrote on his political memoir that "Choo was a tower of strength, giving me constant emotional and intellectual support." And it is just apt to recognize that Choo's support ably helped Lee Kuan Yew in his term and accomplishments.

Singapore is now the fourth leading financial center in the world and a favorite immigrant destination including Filipino migrants. Singapore jobs is one of the most sought after jobs not only by Filipinos but other Asians as well.
