This unit group includes heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, millwrighting and elevator installation trade contractors who own and operate their own businesses. This group also includes supervisors who supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers classified in unit groups within the following minor groups: Machinery and Transportation Equipment Mechanics (Except Motor Vehicle) (731), Automotive Service Technicians (732) and Other Mechanics (733). They are employed in a wide range of establishments; places of employment are indicated in the unit group descriptions.

Contractors and supervisors in this unit group perform some or all of the following duties:

Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who repair and maintain aircraft, railway locomotives and cars, industrial machinery and equipment, construction and other heavy equipment, textile equipment, printing machines, heating equipment and furnaces, transformers and other electrical equipment, motor vehicles, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, electric appliances and other equipment, such as motorcycles, outboard motors and snowmobiles

This unit group includes managers who plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of establishments in the following primary industries: forestry and logging, mining and quarrying, oil and gas drilling, production and servicing operations, and commercial fishing.

FSW Priority list remains the same
There's no changes yet in Canada's 38 High Demand Occupations. Like I have written before, the list may be released last quarter of this year. But this does not mean you don't have an opportunity to live and work in Canada.

Some of those who takes our advise seriously gets a good result. Take for example the case of Mr. Zedfrey Salazar. He attended one of my seminars. Told him he is not eligible yet and taught him how to find jobs in Canada. He did what I said and now, he already got his visa!


Canadian Embassy Manila Processing Time Delay
So you got a positive assessment from Centralized Intake Office (CIO) and submitted your supporting documents to Canadian Visa Office - Manila. Then you were told that you will receive the result within 45 days. It's more than 2 months now and you haven't heard from them yet?

Please don't worry. Avoid unnecessary stress. It has nothing to do with your documents. It's not you, it's the embassy, not you.

Processing time to get the result is now within 90 days after receipt. That used to be within 45 days.

We will follow up status of your application after a reasonable allowance. Processing period for new Federal Skilled Worker program is still within 6-12 months.

PR Visa Processing Status (Filed before Feb 27, 2008)
The Canadian Visa Office in Manila is yet to finish applications filed in 2004. The latest update notice we received are for those whose applications were filed October 28, 2004. It's slowly moving.
