Executive Order 835: OFWs in the Middle East may now take PRC board exams in host countries

Through the Executive Order 835 issued by President Macapagal-Arroyo, Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the Middle East May now take Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board exam in their host countries.

The Executive Order authorizes the PRC to conduct tests in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and other Middle East countries every year beginning in December.

2009 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination Results

The 2009 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination Results is now out! 2,888 of the 6,929 aspiring accountants, have passed the 2009 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination.

This year's CPA Board Examination top notchers were Romelyn Manset Carpio of the De La Salle University (DLSU) in Lipa City, and Ivan Rhett Villacampa Macabeo from the Bicol University (BU) in Legazpi City with with 91.71 percent each.

US Immigration Fees May Increase


According to this report, US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is considering hiking fees, reducing expenditures or seeking help from Congress to address its financial woes.

WASHINGTON – The United States could raise the price of immigration-related fees as it battles a budget shortfall spurred by the global financial meltdown, a senior official said Wednesday.

Special Immigration Program for Philippines

The Government of Canada recently announced Special Immigration Program for the typhoon victims in the Philippines. But unlike the the Special Immigration Program for Kandahar, Afghanistan Mission Staff, the said special program applies only to Family Class Sponsorship program.
